India sent humanitarian assistance and medical equipment to Ukraine which was hit by a war after Russia launched a full invasion last week. According to officials, the team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) sent 100 tents and 2,500 blankets to the airbase of the Indian Air Force Hindon. From there, it will be sent via flights to Romania, neighboring Ukraine. Flights are scheduled to go at 10.15 hours.

Ukraine looked at the main humanitarian crisis after Russian forces launched a full invasion of Ukraine on February 24. On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 300 civilians, including at least 14 children had been killed so far.
With the closom of the Ukrainian airspace due to Russian invasion, the Indian government has transported Indian citizens to the Romanian border. From there, the Indians who were evacuated were then taken to the capital of Bucharest which is nine hours of travel from the border.
