During the first face -to -face meeting, Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe and US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin argued on Taiwan’s problem on Friday with Washington said Beijing was trying to change the status quo above the island and Beijing condemned the sale of weapons to Taipei. The Secretary of the US Defense and the Minister of Defense China met on the sidelines of the Shangri-La dialogue security summit in Singapore for almost an hour, doubled the time that was initially allocated. During the meeting, Fenghe clearly told Austin that if anyone tried to bring Taiwan from China, Beijing would not hesitate to start the war. Watch this video for more.
