Convenience that is underestimated to have one of Apple’s smart watch is that the bands can be reused. Although the size of the Apple Watch model has risen for many years, bands suitable for 38mm, 40mm, and 42mm variants continue to be compatible with newer models that come in 42mm, 44mm, and 45mm case sizes. Unfortunately, Perk might go this year with the most attractive model on the Apple Watch Series 8 lineup, which is scheduled to debut in the fall.
According to the leaker post on the Chinese Microblogging Platform Weibo, a rough variant of the Apple Watch Series 8 is likely to increase the width of the band, which means the rope made for the previous generation Apple smart watch is not suitable. The tentative is called the Apple Watch Pro, this special variant will display a screen measuring almost two inches, surrounded by a metal frame with a flat edge, at least according to the leak that we have seen for the past few weeks.
Apple is reportedly giving this pro model for several additional layers of protection because it is targeted for extreme sports fans. There is no word about what material Apple will use to strengthen the casing or what kind of improvement protection is upgraded, but nothing will be cheap – plus, if the prediction turns out to be true, the buyer will have to hit larger into their wallet to get an additional pair of bands compatible.
Not everyone agrees with the latest leak, though
While the most interesting rumors so far about Apple Watch Pro come from Bloomberg, the latest bad news about the size of a new rope does not come from the source with the most solid track record. In addition, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has tweeted that the older Apple Watch rope might be compatible with the upcoming rough variants, which might debut with the name Explorer Edition.
However, Gurman added that the rope made for the older Apple Watch model might look somewhat not in place when held to Apple Watch Pro. No need to say, take this conflicting claim with a pinch of salt and wait until Apple officially lifts the cover of the latest and greatest smart watches a few weeks from now.
Apple is expected to launch a total of three smart watches later this year. Lineups include Vanilla Apple Watch Series 8 in two sizes, the next generation of Apple Watch Gen Gen, and a highly anticipated sport-centric model. As for the new features, Apple might add a temperature sensing module that will warn the user about the symptoms of fever. More sport-centric features are also said to be in the pipe, in addition to the accident detection system.
