Age: Young children and elderly individuals benefit more from warm to hot water baths. Teenagers and people up to 45-50 years can take advantage of cold water baths. Furthermore, students who require alertness in order to focus on their studies would find benefit in taking a cold water bath.
Constitution: According to Ayurveda, there are three basic doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. If your body type is Pitta then bathing with cold water works better for you; on the other hand if it’s Vata or Kapha then taking a hot water shower would be beneficial for you.

Habits: Your bathing habits can also influence the temperature of the water. If you prefer taking a cold water bath in the morning, opt for cold water. It’s essential that you don’t bathe with water that’s either too hot or too cold, as either can damage your skin’s pH level; conversely, bathing in too cold water could make you susceptible to getting a cold.
