'Love Conquers Darkness': Ukrainian warriors tie a knot on the battlefield

According to the video posted by Kyivpost, two Ukrainian soldiers were married on Sunday at the checkpoint that led to the capital Kyiv.

Ukraine fought with Russian forces on his land during the third day in a row. But the gloom of war did not stop two couples of Ukrainian soldiers to tie the knot, and it was also on the battlefield.

According to the video posted by Kyivpost, two Ukrainian soldiers were married on Sunday at the checkpoint that led to the capital Kyiv.

According to reports, Leshya and Valeriy are volunteers from one of the 112nd battalions of the Kyiv Special Forces Brigade. They have been together for twenty years now and parents for a 18 year old daughter. However, they don’t get time to get married.

In the video, both of them were seen wearing military uniforms while marrying and singing local songs. Leshya was also seen wearing a white wedding veil and holding a bouquet, while the ceremony was carried out by other soldiers.

In a similar news, another couple – Klevets and Natalia Vladislave – also married a few days ago in a bomb shelter in the city of Odessa, located on the south side of Ukraine.

The video was uploaded on Sunday (March 6) and now has become a viral. “Love Conquers Darkness,” Write one user on Twitter when sharing videos.

“Sitting here crying this morning, for the courage of Ukrainian soldiers, and optimism and dedication of this pair, and of course their wedding choir,” wrote another user.

Russian forces launched a full invasion of Ukraine on February 24. During the 13th war, Ukrainian forces have killed more than 11,000 Russian troops, Reuters reported quoting local officials. However, Russia confirmed losing around 500 soldiers. No party revealed the victims of Ukraine.
