Chinese Warning Day After Karachi Blast killed 3 of its Nationals

Beijing: Beijing has demanded Islamabad to increase efforts to protect Chinese projects and personnel in Pakistan and overcome the “root cause of the problem” terrorism, after the explosion in Karachi on Tuesday claimed the lives of three Chinese citizens.
Three Chinese citizens were among the four people who were killed in a car explosion inside the Karachi University on Tuesday. The explosion occurred at a van near the Confucian Institute – Chinese teaching center at Karachi University.

Chinese state media outlets condemn the explosion and demanded that Pakistani made more efforts to protect the safety of projects and Chinese personnel.

“We are very demanding that the Pakistani make more efforts to protect the safety of institutions, projects and Chinese personnel in Pakistan, and make the organizations understand that those who try to hurt the Chinese will only bring destruction to themselves,” said Global Times the Global Times in the editorial.

The English newspaper argues that China must warn that troops targeting Chinese citizens in the attack will be the most difficult.

Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which claims responsibility for this incident, has repeatedly threatened to launch attacks on companies and Chinese citizens in Pakistan, the newspaper said.

BLA attacked the Chinese consulate in Karachi in 2018 and carried out a suicide attack near the Port of Gwadar in August 2021, injuring a Chinese citizen. “It can be said that some serious terrorist attacks on Chinese citizens are related to this group,” said the editorial.

According to the Chinese Communist Party which is supported every day, Pakistan has strengthened the protection of Chinese citizens but failed to overcome the roots of the cause of the problem.

“We must show that Pakistan has strengthened the protection of Chinese citizens in recent years but without overcoming the root causes of the problem, there will always be a gap,” he added.
